Garden Watering Cans
Water is very necessary for the growth of any living thing. Plants need proper water supply for proper growth. Similar is the case with gardens. We all love to have our own gardens. Watering cans are the most commonly used devices and are a favorite for gardens on a smaller scale. Watering cans are the traditional form of equipments that were used for watering the plants. Watering cans are available in wide range of varieties and in attractive styles and designs. Watering cans are considered as a ‘basic tool’ for any gardening purpose and are a must for gardens. Today the watering cans are available are both decorative and functional. The watering cans can be manufactured using materials like galvanized iron, plastic and also brass. The galvanized iron carries a more rusty look when old, that is an antique look which is preferred by most. Plastic, as compared to galvanized iron is lighter in weight, affordable and also has a longer life span.
A watering can is usually cylindrical in shape. It is equipped with a handle at the top, on the lid, which is used for holding the can. Also there is handle on the sideways that is used when watering the plants giving the can a slant. There is a perforated attachment at the end of a spout known as the rose, which is removable and are available in oval or circular in shape. The rose needs cleaning, if blocked. The location of this spout id generally slightly at a higher level than the rest of the can. The force of the stream of water is determined by the shape and also the angle of the particular rose used. Generally two water cans are used having different colors like that of red and green which is used for soluble fertilizers and the other for pure water watering respectively.

The pressure tank which is present in these pumps regulates pressure with ease. Note that the seasonal changes also change the pressure of the pipes. But the presence of the water pressure tank keeps the water flow steady year round.
Now let us consider another water pump which is the sump pump:
The main use of sump pump is the pumping out of extra water from the buildings or the fields too. It is similar with respect to the working of well pump. But it is very important for house hold purposes. The other distinct advantage of this pump is that this pump can work in extreme wet conditions.

A submersible pump and a floor model pump.
